Halloween Drinkspiration from Liquorland

19 Oct 2018

You have the Halloween décor. The Halloween music. Tables full of Halloween treats. Now all you need are the drinks to make your spooky holiday party complete. Check out a handful of delish and easy-to-make cocktails, with ingredients you can quickly swoop up at the Liquorland at Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre.

Morgue-A-Rita

This magnificently monstrous version of the Margarita will send chills down your guests’ spines. That’s because the rim of the glass foregoes the typical Margarita salt in favour of green slime. Create the slime by mixing the corn syrup and green food colouring, then apply to the rim.

For the drink:

  • Tequila, 3/4 cup
  • Lime juice, 1/2 cup
  • Club soda, 1 cup
  • Triple sec, 1/3 cup
  • Maraschino cherries, 4
  • Cherry syrup, 4 teaspoons

For the slime:

  • Corn syrup, 1/4 cup
  • Green food colouring, as needed for proper hue

The days to Halloween are quickly slipping away. You might have already begun your party preparations... or at least the ideas of what it will be. To aid in your planning, we have a few cocktails that…

Spooky Sunrise

This spooky version of the popular Tequila Sunrise shares the same main ingredients, but you’re adding a tantalisingly terrifying twist. Swish the glass rim in black salt before filling and serving for a properly spooky effect.

For the drink:

  • Tequila, 1/2 cup
  • Orange juice, 2 cups
  • Grenadine, 1 1/2 tablespoons grenadine

For the garnish and rim:

  • Black salt
  • Lime wedge

No tricks, just treats.

Caramel Apple Punch

This punch serves up an invigorating punch. Whip up the mix the night before your party to ensure it is properly chilled before serving. Opt for non-alcohol apple cider since spiced rum is the starring ingredient in the concoction.

For the punch:

  • Non-alcoholic apple cider, 4 cups
  • Spiced rum, 1 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice, 2 tablespoons

For the garnish:

  • One thinly sliced red apple

This autumn punch calls for just four ingredients—apple cider, spiced rum, lemon juice, and a sliced apple (naturally) for garnish. Get the recipe for Caramel Apple Punch.
